Day 01

Vancouver Arrive in Vancouver and spend time exploring this scenic city on your own. Overnight in Vancouver.

Day 02

Vancouver Sightseeing Enjoy a six-hour sightseeing tour of Vancouver’s spectacular North Shore. Next, visit Grouse Mountain (gondola admission included), the Peak of Vancouver, and take in breathtaking views of the city, ocean, and surrounding mountains. Overnight in Vancouver.

Day 03

Vancouver to Kamloops Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Kamloops. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Overnight in Kamloops.

Day 04

Kamloops to Banff Your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Overnight in Banff.

Day 05

Banff Sightseeing with Summit Helicopter This morning travel to Kananaskis for a 12-minute Summit Helicopter Tour over the remarkable landscape of the Rockies. After your helicopter ride you will explore Banff on a sightseeing tour. Highlights include visits to Bow Falls, the Banff Gondola (admission included), Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. The rest of the day is free. Overnight in Banff.
A price reduction of $119 will apply for the Summit Helicopter Tour in the event of inclement weather or if a guest chooses not to fly.

Day 06

Banff to Lake Louise A half-day tour takes you into Yoho National Park to view some of its wonders. Among the places of interest are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. Uzpon arrival in Lake Louise you will be treated to a one-hour guided lakeshore stroll. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure. Overnight in Lake Louise.

Day 07

Lake Louise to Jasper Tour Banff and Jasper National Parks via the Icefields Parkway. Highlights include Bow Lake, the Columbia Icefield and Athabasca Falls. Upon arrival at the Columbia Icefield you will take a ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier. Time will be available for lunch (not included). Arrive in Jasper late this afternoon. Overnight in Jasper.

Day 08

Jasper to Quesnel Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper to Quesnel. Highlights include the Rocky Mountain Trench, Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Yellow head Pass, Moose Lake and the Fraser River. Overnight in Quesnel.

Day 09

Quesnel to Whistler Your journey continues south today through breathtaking and varied scenery to Whistler. Highlights include sweeping views of the Fraser Canyon, the crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world, and the shorelines of glacial-fed Seton Lake and Anderson Lake. Overnight in Whistler.

Day 10

Whistler Enjoy the day exploring this exciting four-season resort on your own. Walk through the charming village, take a ride on the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola (not included) or soar from tree to tree on a zipline adventure (not included). Overnight in Whistler.

Day 11

Whistler to Vancouver The morning is free to explore Whistler Village at your leisure. This afternoon return to Vancouver on the Rocky Mountaineer. Highlights include the Cheakamus Canyon, the dome peak of Mount Garibaldi, Shannon Falls and breathtaking views of Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains. On arrival at the North Vancouver train platform, you will be transferred to your accommodation in downtown Vancouver. Overnight in Vancouver.

Whistler Dome Service guests will be served afternoon tea, and Whistler Classic Service guests will be served a light meal onboard.

Day 12

Vancouver Your Grand Rail Circle vacation ends with check-out from your Vancouver hotel.

Rhythms on the Rails
During your overnight stay in Kamloops enjoy our musical dinner show, Rhythms on the Rails. This highly energized show takes you on a train trip through the Rocky Mountains with a young Canadian songwriter who is inspired by the great songs of the 50s and 60s. Told through memorable hit songs such as You Are My Destiny, The Loco-Motion, Diana, and I Got You Babe, the show will leave the audience laughing and wanting more. The show follows a sumptuous buffet dinner.
